Ryan and I have some exciting news. We spent the easter long weekend in Sechelt with our friends Shane and Eeva. We arrived on Saturday the day after our friends. A few hours after we unpacked the car, Ryan wanted to take off somewhere romantic. We found a few places, but they were either not private enough for Ryan or too steep for me (I really couldn’t be doing the whole heavy hiking on that day, lazy me lol). We finally found a trail that was near a seriously expensive housing area. The trail took us to the edge of Daniel Point.

The view was amazing, water, islands and forest. I plopped my bum down on a rock to take it all in. To my surprise Ryan become all serious and started kissing me. To Ryan’s disappointment I noticed he was fishing in his jacket pocket, “honey, what are you doing?”. Ryan’s response was “just kiss me”. After much pocket fumbling a box appeared, Ryan got down on one knee and presented me with a beautiful ring along with his marriage proposal.

I was beside myself, my emotions got the better of me and the tears started to flow. “YES, I will marry you”. Ever since this moment I have been on cloud nine. We have always talked about marriage, but we always agreed that this was a future plan. I never realised that the future is now.

Ryan and I will most likely “tie the knot” during the summer of 2009.
